Vietnam Airlines and Jetstar Pacific have told customers who want to cancel that they will refund flights to and from China due to the coronavirus outbreak, DTI News reported.
Starting from Jan. 24 passengers will be refunded and changes in schedules will be free of charge for flights to and from Chinese cities until further notice. They also have been giving gloves and masks to customers on these flights free of charge.
The
airlines are working closely with other agencies to inform the public about
updates regarding the epidemic and to possibly detect any people carrying the
disease.
China’s death rate from the viral outbreak is up to 80. Nationwide
there are a confirmed more than 2,300 infections.
