Hanoi to spend 22 billion VND on street renovation

Hanoi’s People Committee has just approved a project to renovate Yen Phu Street, according to VTV. The project aims at synchronizing road infrastructure, alleviating the heavy traffic in the area.

The length of the road that needs renovatingis 1.6 km, stretching from Thanh Nien road up to Long Bien Bridge.

The road will be repaired and renovated with a brand new asphalt layer. This also includes the maintenance and renewal of traffic lights and the drainage system.

Moreover, the traffic at the crossroads between Yen Phu and Cua Bac Street will also be reorganized for better traffic.

It is estimated that the project will cost about 22 billion VND, though this could rise once the project begins.
