All traditional markets in Danang allotted time slots for its citizens to use food stamps on the morning of Aug. 12. as part of efforts to limit large crowds and gatherings, VN Express has reported.

Each family will send one member to go to the market once every three days, with five food stamps in total to use within 15 days, according to the Danang Department of Industry and Trade (DDIT).

“Since they’re shopping once every three days, they will receive odd and even day coupons,” said a representative from DDIT.

The odd day food stamp will be pink, the even day ticket will be blue. Each ticket can be used just once in any local market in Danang.

At every entrance and exit, there will be a medical checkpoint that provides hand disinfectant and temperature checks. Face masks are compulsory, and market stall holders and customers must keep at least two meters from one another.

Danang was the first city in Vietnam to record a locally transmitted case of nCoV after 99 days. Since July 25, the city has had 273 new cases. Nationwide, the total number of cases has risen to 866, with 450 currently in treatment and 17 deaths.
