Vietnam is no longer imposing a 14-day compulsory quarantine for foreign experts who come for a period of less than 14 days, including business executives, investors and diplomats, VN Express has reported.
However, the Ministry of Health still requires strict compliance with other safety measures on Covid-19, such as wearing medical face masks, washing hands regularly, or getting tested for the virus.
Agencies receiving guests are responsible for monitoring and evaluating the entire stay. They need to find the expert insurance plan (whether directly from them or from an international source) to cover all medical bills, as preparation for the worst case scenario.
Starting from Sept. 1, all who enter the country must provide a quarantine fee, with the exception of people arriving for diplomatic purposes.
It’s been 36 hours since the country last had a new case. As of this morning, Vietnam recorded 1,046 COVID-19 cases, with 755 recoveries and 35 deaths.
