99 Covid-19 cases now confirmed in Vietnam in total

Vietnam confirmed its 99th case of coronavirus after five people in Ho Chi Minh City, including to British men, tested positive on Sunday, Vn Express reported.

The 95th case is a 20-year-old male Vietnamese student in France who flew back to Vietnam on Air France flight AF258 March 18.

The 96th Patient is a 21-year-old Vietnamese woman who recently travelled to several countries in Europe, including Germany and France. She landed in Tan Son Nhat Airport on Emirates flight EK392 from Dubai on March 19.

“Patient 97” and “Patient 98” are both 34-year-old British men who work as English teachers in Ho Chi Minh City. They are flatmates and both visited Bar Buddha in the city’s District on March 14.

The 99th patient is a 29-year-old Vietnamese man who flew from Paris on Air France flight AF258 on March 18. He tested positive for Covid-19 on March 21 at HCMC’s Pasteur Institute.

Covid-19 has now spread to over 187 countries and regions worldwde, claiming more than 13,000 lives.
