Vietnam confirms 4 more Covid-19 cases, taking total to 222

Vietnam confirmed four more coronavirus cases Thursday, taking the national total to 222, Vn Express has reported.

The 219th patient is a woman, 59, from Hung Yen Province in the north of the country. She has been caring for ‘Patient 113” at the hospital, and first reported symptoms on March 25 and immediately visited hospital.

“Patient 220” is a man, 20, who arrived in Hanoi from France on March 17 and was immediately quarantined and started experiencing symptoms on March 22.

The 221st patient is a student in Canada who returned to Vietnam on March 24 after transiting in Taipei and was quarantined in Vin Phuc Province. She tested positive on March 30.

The 222nd patient is a woman, 28, who resides in Hanoi’s Long Bien District. She lives in the United States but flew back to Vietnam on March 20 before testing positive for Covid-19 10 days later.

Sixty-four of Vietnam’s 222 cases have now recovered and been discharged after treatment.

The coronavirus has now spread to over 200 countries and regions worldwide, infecting over 937,00 people and killing nearly 48,000.
