Vietnam confirmed no new cases of the coronavirus on Sunday morning, the 24th consecutive day with no community transmission, Vn Express has reported.
So far the country has reported 288 cases of the virus, with the latest batch being 17 citizens repatriated from the United Arab Emirates who were confirmed with the virus on Thursday night.
Of the total, 241 have fully recovered after successful treatment in hospitals.
The country currently has over 11,000 people being monitored in quarantine, including those who have returned from abroad, the report said.
On Saturday 276 citizens returned to Vietnam from Canada on a Vietnam Airlines flight. The country has now arranged almost a dozen repatriation flights.
The coronavirus has infected more than 4 million people worldwide in over 200 countries and territories, killing over 280,000.
Vietnam has registered no deaths.
