Vietnam reported six more cases of coronavirus and the country’s 21st death – a 61-year-old resident of Danang – this morning, according to VN Express.

Like all previous fatalities, she had existing medical issues, including hypertension, obesity and type-2 diabetes. So far, the most common chronic disease among the 21 nCoV-related deaths is renal failure.

The youngest person to die in Vietnam was 33, and the oldest was 86.

Among the six new patients, three are from Hai Duong and Thai Binh provinces, and three are from Quang Nam Province. They brings the nation’s total number of ‘active’ cases to 465. As of this morning, Vietnam’s total tally of cases is 911.

Danang – the nation’s coronavirus hotspot – has extended its social distancing campaign indefinitely. Following suit, Hai Duong has implemented citywide social distancing measures for 15 days, starting today.

The Hai Duong patients are the only cases in the country whose infections have not yet been confirmed as related to Danang.

The death toll has reached nearly 800,000 worldwide, with over 21 million infections in total.
