SpamCham returns to Hanoi for first 2026 meetup

Looking for an easy midweek social with a good cause baked in? SpamCham is back for its first outing of 2026 next Wednesday, bringing its familiar mix of casual networking, food, drinks and charity fundraising.

Hosted once again by friends at Blue Dragon, SpamCham is a relaxed monthly get-together that raises funds for vulnerable families and children across Vietnam. It’s informal, welcoming, and, fair warnin, usually quite boozy.

This month’s event takes place at Al Fresco’s, with a VND300,000 entry fee covering food and free-flow drinks. There’s also a raffle, which has a reputation for being both generous and mildly chaotic, in a good way.

Funds raised this January will go towards Tet food packages, helping families prepare for the holiday with essentials such as rice, cooking oil, milk and festive staples. As Blue Dragon’s Skye C0-CEO Maconachie, puts it, “Every ticket helps turn a stressful time of year into something warmer and more hopeful for families who really need it.”

If past editions are anything to go by, expect a friendly crowd, lots of new faces, and a strong chance you’ll walk away with a raffle prize.
