Updates on this week’s traffic restrictions

As you are no doubt aware, Hanoi is hosting the country’s five-yearly National Party Congress this week. To serve the 13th National Party Congress at the Hanoi National Convention Center, the Police Department is blocking more than 20 routes, as reported by VN Express.

Here are the maps of all the routes blocked and alternative routes you may take:

Location of the convention and dates for restricted vehicles

This road blockage will happen for the span of nine days: Jan. 25 until Feb. 2. The following routes will be banned from 6 -8 a.m., 10:30 a.m-2 p.m., and 4 p.m.-6:30 p.m.

The following routes (mostly in Tay Ho District) will be banned from 6:30 a.m. -8:30 a.m. on Jan. 25:

Reminder: the Tay Ho area is only going to be blocked in one of the mornings

These are the alternative routes you may take to avoid the blocked routes:
