President wishes a Happy New Year

President Nguyen Phu Trong wished a Happy New Year to veteran revolutionaries, incumbent and former leaders of the party, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and all Vietnamese people in and outside of the country, Vietnam News reported.
The President acknowledged Vietnam’s achievements in 2019. He said that the country’s economic growth at over 7% was alongside other countries with the highest growth. He said “2019 is the second consecutive year that all 12 targets set by the National Assembly have been completed.”
He highlighted the progress in social security, healthcare, science-technology, education-training, job creation, sustainable poverty reduction, start-up movement, and construction of new-style rural areas. He also mentioned the country’s outstanding achievements in sports.
He also went on to mention other great achievements of Vietnam in 2019 and talked about the positive outlook for 2020.
