Vietnamese architecture nominated for global prize

Vietnam’s Hotel Chicland and Nocenco Café, both designed by architect Vo Trong Nghia, have been nominated for the Architecture Masterprize of 2020 in two categories, according to VnExpress.
Located in Da Nang, Hotel Chicland in the Hospitality Architecture. Covered by green plants, the building resembles a vertical botanical park. This hotel was not only praised for its magnificent appearance, but also its eco-friendly approach.
In the category for Public Spaces, Nocenco Café was applauded for its innovative interior design. By only using bamboo trees, the architecture team reduced both construction time and budget since bamboo is lightweight, flexible and an abundant local resource.
Founded in 1985 by Farmani Group, the Architecture Master Prize is a prestigious award celebrating creative and inspiring architectural designs.
