All suspects in Hanoi test negative for coronavirus

The local health department has said that all suspected cases of coronavirus in Hanoi have tested negative, DTI News has reported.

Hoang Duc Hang, the deputy director of the Hanoi Health Department, said that test results in the latest three suspects came back showing no sign of the virus.

Hanh said that “by the evening of February 21, all 77 suspects including three new cases found on February 20 have tested negative for the virus,”

Seven of the people had come from Wuhan city in China; 15 came from what is considered to be Vietnam’s coronavirus epicenter of Vihn Phuc province, and another 42 came from other parts of China.

“At present, the city is still monitoring 419 people who arrived from virus-infected areas,” Hanh said.

There have been 16 coronavirus cases in Vietnam as of Feb 22. Of those, 15 have recovered. There has been 1,229 tests done and now there are only 27 suspected cases in Vietnam.
