The Ministry of Health in Vietnam announced zero new recorded cases of Covid-19 since 6 p.m Aug. 9 to 6 a.m this morning, making it the first in 10 days of patients continuously testing positive virus in the country, according to VTV.
As of Aug. 10, there are a total of 182,267 people who either had direct contact with infected patients or had entered Vietnam from stricken regions under close medical watch. Out of which, 5,139 are quarantined in hospitals, 28,408 in other closed locations, and 148,720 at home under self-monitoring.
Out of the total 841 recorded cases in Vietnam, 395 have recovered accounting for 47% of national cases.
So far, 50 foreign patients have been treated and recovered in Vietnam.
The country reported its 12th and 13th coronavirus-related deaths today, both are the youngest so far, at 33 and 47 years of age. Both had complicated medical histories.
The coronavirus has taken the lives of 722,000 people worldwide, infecting over 19.4 million people in over 200 countries and regions.
