Vietnam confirms 14 new cases of Covid-19

On Sunday morning Vietnam registered 14 new community cases of the coronavirus, according to,VN Express. The latest outbreak has now seen 221 cases in eight different areas.
Hanoi recorded five new cases Sunday, in Tu Liem District, all relatives of ‘Patient 1,694.” The capital has now had nine new cases in four days.
The third wave has arrived just before Tet, Vietnam’s most important holiday, with Lunar New Year’s Eve coming on Feb. 12. The first patients in the most recent outbreak were a man working at Van Don International Airport in Quang Ninh Province and a woman working at Poyun Electronics factory in Chi Linh Town of Hai Duong, both in Northern Vietnam.
The speed of the latest break out is faster than before and authorities are speculating that it could be the U.K., version, which transmits 70% quicker than previous variants
Vietnam has now had 1,781 confirmed coronavirus cases, including 35 deaths so far.
The virus has infected more than over 102 million people worldwide, killing over 2.25 million.
