Vietnam registers 37 more Covid-19 cases

The ministry of health confirmed 37 more cases of the coronavirus Thursday morning, according to VN Express. The country has now had 366 cases in the last week.

The new cases were all workers at an industrial park in the town of Chi Linh in northern Hai Duong Province, where one of the first two cases in the latest outbreak was detected.

 The detections came after a bout of mass testing in the area, and the workers had all been isolating before the test results, as per protocols.

Since Jan. 28 the new wave has returned to 10 cities and provinces across the country, with Hai Duong now having 277 cases, Quang Ninh 42, Hanoi 21, Gia Lai 14, Binh Duong four, Bac Ninh three, Hoa Binh two, and Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Phong and Bac Giang each having one each.

Vietnam has now had a total of 1,948 Covid-19 cases so far, with 449 active.

About 105 million people have been infected with coronavirus worldwide, killing about 2.3 million people.
