In order to help combat novel coronavirus, To Anh Dung, the Deputy Foreign Minister said Vietnam had given 500,000 U.S. dollars worth of medical equipment to China, DTI News reported.

On Sunday at Noi Bai International Airport, To Anh Dung and the Chinese Ambassador Xiong Bo partook in a ceremony.

Dung said the equipment stood for the solidarity of the party, the government and the people of Vietnam.

It is Vietnam’s hope that the medical equipment will help China in their difficulties battling the coronavirus.

Dung also said that the party and the government of China believed they would soon have the coronavirus epidemic under control. He said that Vietnam would help in ASEAN’s joint efforts to help China and other countries in handling the virus outbreak.

Carrying the medical equipment, a Vietnam Airlines flight flew to Wuhan later on Sunday.
